Gaming Thoughts


Getting Battlefield 3 tonight for a nice long play session and probably break out my old game cube for some Zelda I have yet to finish. Gonna rock BF 3 multi-player after an awesome campaign so excited lol. Go through my list of games to play and play the RE 5 DLC I have yet to start. Then look into all the other games I've delayed buying and playing to pick an choose next ones to get.

Waiting is nice so you can get like 3 games for $20 than one for $60. I do hate the all this exclusive DLC crap for all the games so if you want it all you have to pre-order at 5 different places talk about gay. I stopped buying collector editions well a few I will still buy but no longer attempt to try for them all. I swear my OCD towards games needs to end and I'm forcing myself not to do it anymore. I have a girl I really like so I need a healthy balance which leans more in her favor cause I really like her. I wouldn't mind a Wii and Kinect to do some more active games and also the latest Rock Band/Guitar Hero games for some rock out sessions with her. Maybe I'll learn to dance with Dance Central, I won't lie it looks fun to play.

I'd like to do some more mobile gaming but with awesome games on iPhone, iPad, 3DS and new PS Vita coming out just to many devices to save up for. I'd like the iPhone/iPad so I don't need my laptop as much for sure. 3DS for the old remakes and some exciting new ones on a device that is more powerful than console the originals were released on, eh hem N64. PS Vita so I can play much better looking games and also have a more powerful PS system I can still download all my PSP/PS One classics on. That right there is enough to give more my attention toward the PS Vita vs the 3DS. Heck I can even just get roms for all the old gameboy games and that and play them on my PC. With the 3DS being cheap as is it's hard to decide to wait for a new gen since it was a huge flop. I'm still getting both mainly PS Vita because the PSP/PS One downloadable classics. I'll give the 3DS a little more time since I only want like 4 games for that anyway.

I can't wait to move into my new place. I'm gonna try to save up and buy some nice furniture like lovesac.com and some cool things from Ikea. I'm going to have the girl I like come with to make sure I get everything right lol. I want to save up for a nice 60" HD LED Samsung TV for gaming and movies. A nice surround sound system to make gaming and movies really awesome. The couch is pretty much the main thing since I want an awesome comfy black one that I can rearrange like this: Lovesac. All this would be awesome and it is what I'm working hard for. I can't wait to get a comfy couch like that one and curl up next to this girl I really like and watch movies or w/e comes to mind. ;)

I have my wants and that with things I'd like to own but there is only one thing I'd like more than all of this. Someone to share it with and I want to share it all with you. You know who you are. ;)

Batman: Arkham City Review

I just recently finished playing Batman: Arkham City. I found it to be very well presented and its value easily be worth more than the initial $60. After increasing the games size by around 4 times the original it helped flesh out the world and add tons more content. The side missions alone could be placed into its own game and the Riddler collectibles and challenges could be one in itself as well. The game kept me playing for more than I expected. After the game was over I did go to IGN to gather all the collectibles and finish Riddlers riddles and some side missions. Other than that the game will walk you through the main story and leave everything else to exploration all in a good way. You can easily get about half the collectibles and side missions done along side the main story line to leave you much more after it's all over. First things to notice is the size of the game. Starting Over

It's always on our minds. Should I start a blog and write about what I enjoy and love so much? Do I have enough time to? If they can do it so can I but do I have the motivation? The answer is yes. Do it and you got nothing to loose. If it's anything I've learned as a gamer all it takes is a spark to get up on your feet and get it done. Thanks to  Avery Lir  who runs his own blog over at  PocketChomp.com  I'm gonna give it a go and try to blog regularly. I'll start up my own site eventually if I can hash out some details later fun stuff. I already got the twitter and Kotaku account z777ik, I'm also on IGN.com as well as others like Gamasutracom. I have plenty of article ideas and such so I'll be fleshing those out in the mean time. Yes some are opinionated rants but who cares as long as they are not the mindless rants you see else where. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Demo Thoughts

My thoughts on the demo of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Reckoning) are that it is what I wanted Fable to be. I like the third person view and fluid combat and in depth RPG elements. It's like Skyrim + Fable + God of War + Dragon Age = Reckoning. Traveling felt nice and didn't feel to slow or that I was walking forever with nothing to do. I can easily collect items on the run making gathering really easy. Not a lot of loading from what I can see and the loading there is it's fast and your not kept waiting for long. Looting is the most notable change that needs a little getting use to. I found myself just taking all then looking in my inventory and equip the new weapon I just got. Now you can just check to see if it's better right then and there and equip real quick. Also putting stuff in a junk slot makes it nice to just go to vendor hit sell all junk and leave, something even MMOs lack. Combat felt very nice and fluid while dodging and attacking.
